Service Animals — Frequently Asked Questions
Are service animals allowed on Disney World rides?
Most Disney World attractions allow trained service animals to accompany guests. However, a small number of rides with dynamic motion or safety concerns may not accommodate service animals. Disney's accessibility guide lists specific restrictions for each attraction. At any ride where the service animal cannot board, Rider Switch is available.
Where are the service animal relief areas at Disney World?
Each park has designated service animal relief areas. At Magic Kingdom: near the Main Entrance Plaza. At EPCOT: near the front of each World and in Future World. At Hollywood Studios: near the park entrance. At Animal Kingdom: near the entrance and several locations throughout the park. Cast Members and park maps can direct you to the nearest relief area.
What documentation do I need to bring a service animal to Disney World?
Disney does not require documentation for service animals. Under the ADA, Disney may only ask (1) whether the dog is a service animal required because of a disability, and (2) what work or task the dog has been trained to perform. Emotional support animals, therapy dogs, and comfort animals are not considered service animals under Disney's policy.
