Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe or Columbia Harbour House

Afternoon

1:00–5:00pm

Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean

Dinner

6:00–7:00pm

Be Our Guest Restaurant (book 60 days ahead)

Evening

7:00–close

TRON Lightcycle Run (second ride — waits drop in the evening)

Rope drop: TRON Lightcycle Run

Kids 40"+ can ride TRON and it will be the highlight of the day. The queue has virtually no wait at rope drop. Go straight there — do not stop.

Morning plan

  1. 1TRON Lightcycle Run
  2. 2Space Mountain
  3. 3Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
  4. 4Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (if Lightning Lane)

Lunch

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe or Columbia Harbour House

Columbia Harbour House in Liberty Square has surprisingly good food, shaded seating, and is perfectly positioned for a Haunted Mansion lunch-and-ride combo.

Afternoon plan

  1. 1Haunted Mansion
  2. 2Pirates of the Caribbean
  3. 3It's a Small World (kids always enjoy it — admit it)
  4. 4Peter Pan's Flight

Pro tip: The 1–3pm heat is brutal in summer. PhilharMagic or Carousel of Progress are great air-conditioned breaks.

Dinner

Be Our Guest Restaurant (book 60 days ahead)

Evening plan

  1. 1TRON Lightcycle Run (second ride — waits drop in the evening)
  2. 2Evening parade
  3. 3Fireworks — secure a spot near the hub at least 20 minutes before showtime

TRON at night with the light effects is spectacular — worth a second ride. Single rider line if available.

Lightning Lane priorities

  • 1.Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  • 2.TRON Lightcycle Run (if you miss rope drop)

Kids 6–9 are the ideal Magic Kingdom age. They can ride everything and still love the character magic. Let them lead the afternoon — their priorities matter more than park efficiency.
